Our very own Declaration of freedom states that all men are created equal and equal is what we are all meant to be. The civil rights movement was a revolution that united our nation for a second time. Without the movement and everyone who believed in it and knew it was important, our participation today would have a completely different candidate from the one it has now. The civil rights movement was one of the most important series of events in Americas history.

In todays society something like separate water fountains based on race is unheard of. America is a big warming pot with different people of different colors and personalities who all make up America as a place of freedom and opportunity for all people.
