The Path that was Taken

In our lives we execute to reminisce over the paths that we get under ones skin taken on our journey, whether to the highest degree the choices along the way we didnt make and wish we would have or vice-versa. The thoroughfare of life can hold umteen surprises and hidden perils that often polish off up being remembered for the perch of our time, and often become stories passed down throughout the generations. Two literary pieces I have chosen to differentiate and contrast are titled The Road non Taken, and I used to live here once. The comparison and contrasting of these both particular literary pieces allows one to find meaning beyond symbolism. Though both themes are alike there are some major differences between the two literary pieces. This includes their form, content, and style. It shows a common factor of two themes introducing the paths that were taken in life, and to that degree the differences between where both characters ended up by choosing the road that they took.




Though both themes of each literary piece conveyed a traveler traveling upon some sort of road to where they would end up. It is obvious that both were different stories, and even though their themes conveyed the resembling in depth meaning of a journey, both journeys were different. The prototypal major difference of both literary pieces is their form. The Road not Taken is in fact a poem, while I used to live here once is a utterly story. Poems and short stories are known to be alike; their close is to show meaning and insight to the reader. However, they are two literary terms that differ due to their appearance and much more. integrity of the greatest differences is the different technique and form used to earn such literary pieces.
