In the beginning of Oedipus Rex by Sophocles, one comes to cogitate that Oedipus is an intelligent and powerful man who saves the city of Thebes. However, by the goal of the play Oedipus discovers who his real p arnts are and that he killed his father; wise(p) the truth ultimately brought the end up of his rule over Thebes.
